Agapanthus plants or “Lilies of the Nile” are native to South Africa in evergreen or deciduous forms of clump forming perennials, with lush green strap like leaves and some have variegated gold and silver forms. The flowers are mainly in mid summer but some varierties will flower right into late Autumn. Agapanthus plants are sun loving and prefer to be grown in well drained fertile soil ideally a south facing slope. Feed Agapanthus with a good quality tomato fertiliser as it is high in potash which aids flowering. Water with our garlic wash to prevent any insects from harming the plants.
