Hosta plants originally from Korea are woodland clump forming perennials with very diverse leaf colour, pattern range.  Hostas grom from 25mm up to 1.8m in width with such a diverse range.  Ideal to grow in North facing aspects of your garden where most other plants will not grow.  Hostas are not heavy feeders so not a lot of additional feeding is required unless grown on a very light sandy soil.  Try our gasrlic wash recipe to deter slugs and snails from munching on the leaves.  New varieties arre proving more slug resistant due to thicker leaves.  The flowers on hostas are mostly lavender in colour, white, purple and some are picotee and fragrant.
