Growing Agapanthus Brilliant Blue
Agapanthus Brilliant Blue thrives in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun encourages abundant flowering and helps develop the richest flower colour. Additionally, plants perform exceptionally well in containers where slight root restriction often encourages even more prolific flowering. Once established, this variety is relatively drought tolerant and requires only occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.
As an evergreen variety, the attractive foliage remains an important feature throughout the year. Remove spent flower stems after flowering to maintain a tidy appearance. Furthermore, tidy any damaged or weathered leaves in spring to encourage fresh growth. In colder regions, provide winter protection during severe frosts, particularly for container-grown plants, to ensure healthy foliage and reliable flowering year after year.
