Agapanthus ‘Wolga’
Agapanthus ‘Wolga’ is a beautiful deciduous African Lily producing elegant rounded flower heads of pale violet-blue blooms throughout summer. The flowers emerge from darker blue buds before opening into soft mauve-blue trumpet-shaped florets, creating a striking two-tone effect that adds colour and sophistication to sunny borders and patio containers.
Held on sturdy upright stems above neat clumps of green strap-shaped foliage, the flower heads typically reach 18–20cm across and provide a long-lasting display during July and August. This reliable variety grows to around 100cm in height, making it ideal for adding structure and elegance to mixed borders while attracting bees and other pollinating insects to the garden.

Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Agapanthus perform best in a warm, sheltered position where they can establish strong root systems. Once established, ‘Wolga’ shows good drought tolerance and returns year after year with increasingly impressive displays. In colder areas, apply a winter mulch to protect the crown.
