Agapanthus Taw Valley
Agapanthus Taw Valley is a superb deciduous Agapanthus renowned for its dense, floriferous heads of deep blue flowers. Blooming in succession from July through to October, this outstanding variety provides an exceptionally long season of colour, making it a valuable addition to borders, patio containers and mixed perennial planting schemes. Growing to around 80cm in height, it combines excellent hardiness with reliable garden performance.
Agapanthus Taw Valley Features
Throughout the flowering season, Agapanthus Taw Valley produces numerous sturdy stems topped with rounded clusters of rich deep blue blooms. Furthermore, the flowers are produced over an extended period, ensuring months of garden interest. As a result, this variety is ideal for creating lasting summer and autumn displays.
The attractive strap-shaped foliage forms neat clumps beneath the flowers and provides texture within the garden. Additionally, the nectar-rich blooms attract bees and other pollinating insects, helping to support wildlife while enhancing the beauty of the garden.
Growing Agapanthus Taw Valley
For best results, plant Agapanthus Taw Valley in a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It thrives in borders and performs equally well in large containers. Consequently, it is suitable for gardens of all sizes. This hardy deciduous variety tolerates cold conditions well and returns reliably each spring.
Once established, it requires minimal maintenance. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and cut back old foliage in late winter or early spring before fresh growth appears. Therefore, it is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance perennial with outstanding floral impact.
