Description

Agapanthus Stockholm

Agapanthus Stockholm is a beautiful deciduous Agapanthus that produces elegant rounded umbels of soft light blue flowers during mid to late summer. Held on strong upright stems above broad dark green foliage, the blooms create a striking display in borders, patio containers and mixed perennial plantings.

Agapanthus Stockholm Features

This clump-forming perennial reaches up to 80cm in height, making it an excellent choice for adding vertical interest and long-lasting summer colour to the garden. The attractive light blue flower heads stand proudly above the foliage and provide a welcome source of nectar for bees and other pollinating insects.

The broad dark green leaves form a neat mound throughout the growing season, providing texture and structure even when the plant is not in flower. Its reliable performance and elegant colouring make it a popular choice for both traditional and contemporary garden designs.

Growing Agapanthus Stockholm

For best results, plant Agapanthus Stockholm in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It performs well in borders and large containers, where its architectural foliage and beautiful flowers can be fully appreciated.

As a deciduous variety, the foliage dies back in winter before fresh growth emerges in spring. In colder areas, winter protection is recommended to help ensure strong growth and flowering in the following season.
