Agapanthus Navy Blue

Description

Agapanthus Navy Blue

Agapanthus Navy Blue is a spectacular deciduous Agapanthus producing rounded heads of intense navy-blue flowers above attractive green strap-shaped foliage. Flowering abundantly throughout summer, this striking variety delivers exceptional colour, height and architectural interest to borders, patio containers and mixed perennial planting schemes. Its rich, dark blooms make it one of the most dramatic blue-flowered Agapanthus varieties available.

Agapanthus Navy Blue Features

Throughout the flowering season, Agapanthus Navy Blue produces impressive clusters of deep navy-blue flowers carried on strong upright stems. Furthermore, the richly coloured blooms stand proudly above the foliage, creating a bold and eye-catching display. As a result, this variety provides exceptional visual impact and makes an excellent focal point in sunny garden settings.

The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects throughout summer. Additionally, the long-lasting blooms make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements. Consequently, Agapanthus Navy Blue offers both ornamental beauty and valuable wildlife benefits.

Growing Agapanthus Navy Blue

For best results, plant Agapanthus Navy Blue in a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in borders, raised beds and large patio containers. Moreover, regular watering during dry periods will encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.

As a deciduous variety, the foliage dies back naturally in autumn before fresh growth emerges in spring. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and tidy old foliage in late winter. Therefore, it remains easy to grow and maintain, rewarding gardeners with reliable flowering year after year.

Why Choose Agapanthus Navy Blue?

Agapanthus Navy Blue combines intensely coloured navy-blue flower heads with dependable flowering performance and attractive foliage. Moreover, its dramatic blooms provide weeks of vibrant colour throughout the summer months. Therefore, it is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a bold and long-lasting display in borders, containers and patio gardens.
