Description
Agapanthus Cloud Burst
Agapanthus Cloud Burst is a beautiful semi-evergreen agapanthus producing large rounded heads of pure white flowers highlighted by attractive purple stamens. Rising above clumps of lush green strap-shaped foliage, the blooms create a fresh and elegant display throughout summer. Reaching approximately 50cm in height, this compact variety is ideal for borders, patio containers and smaller gardens where its bright flowers can be fully appreciated.
Why Choose Agapanthus Cloud Burst?
The crisp white flower heads bring a sense of brightness and elegance to any planting scheme. As a result, this variety combines beautifully with blue, purple and silver-leaved perennials. Furthermore, the flowers are produced in abundance over a long period, providing reliable summer colour. The blooms also make excellent cut flowers and can last for up to two weeks in a vase when regularly refreshed with cool water.
Growing Agapanthus Cloud Burst
For best results, plant Agapanthus Cloud Burst in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. During the first growing season, regular watering will encourage strong root development. However, once established, plants are relatively easy to maintain and perform well in sunny garden locations. In addition, an annual application of balanced fertiliser in spring will help encourage healthy foliage and abundant flowering. Agapanthus generally thrive in full sun and benefit from good drainage throughout the year.
Perfect for Borders and Containers
Whether planted in mixed perennial borders or grown in decorative containers, this variety provides long-lasting seasonal interest. Meanwhile, the compact growth habit makes it particularly suitable for patios, courtyards and smaller gardens. Because of its manageable size and elegant flowers, it works equally well in contemporary and traditional planting schemes.
Care and Maintenance
Maintenance is straightforward and suitable for gardeners of all experience levels. Remove spent flower stems after flowering to keep plants looking tidy. Additionally, established clumps can be divided every few years to maintain vigour and encourage continued flowering. With minimal attention, plants will provide years of dependable garden performance.
