Description
Hosta Captain Kirk
Hosta Captain Kirk is a colourful and reliable variegated hosta prized for its vibrant foliage and strong garden performance. Forming a neat mound of thick, slightly corrugated leaves, this attractive variety features bright golden-yellow centres framed by broad dark green margins, creating a striking contrast that illuminates shaded areas throughout the growing season.
During summer, elegant stems rise above the foliage carrying attractive lavender flowers that add seasonal colour and attract pollinators to the garden. The substantial leaf texture helps improve resistance to slug damage, while the compact habit makes this variety suitable for borders, woodland gardens and patio containers.
Plants leaves are cut back from August and will reappear late Spring.
