Description
Hosta Blue Mammoth
Hosta Blue Mammoth is one of the largest and most impressive blue-leaved hostas available, prized for its enormous powdery blue-green foliage and commanding garden presence. Forming a substantial clump of thick, heavily corrugated heart-shaped leaves, this outstanding variety provides dramatic texture, colour and structure in shaded borders and woodland gardens.
As the plant matures, it develops into a magnificent specimen that can become a focal point in the garden. During summer, tall stems rise above the foliage carrying attractive pale lavender to near-white flowers that add further seasonal interest and attract pollinators. The thick leaves offer excellent resistance to slug damage compared with many thinner-leaved hostas.
Plants leaves are cut back from August and will reappear late Spring.
