Description
Hosta El Nino
Hosta El Nino is an outstanding variegated sport of the popular Hosta Halcyon, combining the same excellent blue foliage with striking creamy-white to pure white leaf margins. Forming a neat, medium-sized mound of thick, heavily textured leaves, this award-winning variety provides exceptional contrast and colour in shaded areas throughout the growing season.
The distinctive blue-green foliage retains its colour remarkably well and is complemented by elegant stems of pale lavender flowers during summer. Thanks to its thick leaf substance, this variety also offers good resistance to slug damage, making it a reliable and easy-care addition to the garden.
Plants leaves are cut back from August and will reappear late Spring.
