Agapanthus Summer Blue Features
Throughout summer, Agapanthus Summer Blue produces rounded clusters of rich mid-blue flowers held on sturdy upright stems. The eye-catching blooms provide long-lasting colour and garden interest. Furthermore, the flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects, making this variety a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly gardens.
The evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and texture. Additionally, its compact yet vigorous growth habit makes it suitable for gardens of all sizes. Whether grown in containers or planted in borders, this variety delivers dependable performance year after year.
Growing Agapanthus Summer Blue
For best results, plant Agapanthus Summer Blue in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in containers, raised beds and sunny borders. Regular watering during prolonged dry periods will encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
Once established, this variety requires very little maintenance. Remove spent flower stems after flowering to maintain a tidy appearance. However, evergreen Agapanthus benefit from winter protection in colder areas, particularly when grown in containers.
