Description
Agapanthus Phantom
Agapanthus Phantom is a stunning evergreen Agapanthus producing large, rounded flower heads of pure white blooms delicately marked with soft blue at the base of each petal. Flowering freely throughout summer, this elegant variety creates a striking display above attractive clumps of glossy green foliage. Its refined colouring and strong garden performance make it an excellent choice for borders, patio containers and mixed planting schemes.
Agapanthus Phantom Features
Throughout the flowering season, Agapanthus Phantom produces impressive flower heads packed with white trumpet-shaped blooms featuring subtle blue shading towards the throat. Furthermore, the flowers are carried on sturdy upright stems above the evergreen foliage, creating a bright and eye-catching display. As a result, this variety brings both elegance and architectural interest to sunny gardens.
The attractive evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and texture within the garden. Additionally, the nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects throughout summer. Consequently, Agapanthus Phantom offers both ornamental beauty and valuable wildlife benefits.
Growing Agapanthus Phantom
For best results, plant Agapanthus Phantom in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in borders, raised beds and decorative patio containers. Moreover, regular watering during dry periods will encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
As an evergreen variety, the foliage remains attractive throughout the year. Container-grown plants may benefit from winter protection during severe frosts. Once established, Agapanthus Phantom is easy to grow and flowers reliably year after year.
