Description
Agapanthus Littlecourt
Agapanthus Littlecourt is a compact deciduous Agapanthus producing attractive rounded heads of pure white flowers above neat clumps of green strap-shaped foliage. Flowering freely throughout summer, this charming variety is ideal for borders, patio containers and smaller gardens where reliable colour and architectural interest are required. Its compact habit and pristine blooms make it a superb choice for adding brightness and long-lasting summer interest.
Agapanthus Littlecourt Features
Throughout the flowering season, Agapanthus Littlecourt produces clusters of elegant pure white flowers carried on sturdy upright stems. Furthermore, the bright blooms stand proudly above the compact foliage, creating a fresh and eye-catching display in borders and containers. As a result, this variety is perfect for adding height and colour without taking up excessive space.
The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects throughout summer. Additionally, the long-lasting blooms make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements. Consequently, Agapanthus Littlecourt offers both ornamental beauty and valuable wildlife benefits.
Growing Agapanthus Littlecourt
For best results, plant Agapanthus Littlecourt in a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in containers, raised beds and mixed borders. Moreover, regular watering during prolonged dry periods will encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
As a deciduous variety, the foliage dies back naturally in autumn before fresh growth emerges in spring. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and tidy old foliage in late winter. Once established, this variety is easy to maintain and flowers reliably year after year.
