Description
Agapanthus Glacier Stream
Agapanthus Glacier Stream is a stunning deciduous Agapanthus producing large rounded heads of icy white flowers delicately flushed with pale blue above attractive clumps of green strap-shaped foliage. Flowering abundantly throughout summer, this elegant variety brings brightness, height and architectural interest to borders, patio containers and mixed perennial planting schemes. Its cool-toned blooms make it an excellent choice for creating sophisticated and long-lasting garden displays.
Agapanthus Glacier Stream Features
Throughout the flowering season, Agapanthus Glacier Stream produces impressive clusters of white flowers with subtle pale blue tones carried on strong upright stems. Furthermore, the elegant blooms rise gracefully above the foliage, creating a fresh and eye-catching display. As a result, this variety provides outstanding visual impact whether planted individually or combined with blue and purple-flowered Agapanthus varieties.
The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects throughout summer. Additionally, the long-lasting blooms make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements. Consequently, Agapanthus Glacier Stream offers both ornamental beauty and valuable wildlife benefits.
Growing Agapanthus Glacier Stream
For best results, plant Agapanthus Glacier Stream in a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in borders, raised beds and decorative patio containers. Moreover, regular watering during dry periods will encourage healthy growth and prolific flowering.
As a deciduous variety, the foliage dies back naturally in autumn before fresh growth emerges in spring. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and tidy old foliage in late winter. Once established, this variety is easy to maintain and flowers reliably year after year.
