Each flower head measures approximately 11–13cm across and can contain up to 40 individual florets, creating a spectacular display of colour throughout the summer months. The vibrant flowers are held on strong upright stems above attractive green strap-like foliage, providing outstanding architectural interest in borders, containers and mixed perennial plantings.

Growing to approximately 80–120cm in height, Agapanthus Cobalt Blue is a superb garden performer with excellent presence and long-lasting floral impact. Growing Agapanthus Cobalt Blue

Agapanthus Cobalt Blue thrives in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun encourages abundant flowering and helps produce strong stems capable of supporting the large flower heads. Once established, plants are relatively drought tolerant, although regular watering during prolonged dry periods will encourage the best floral display. Well-drained soil is particularly important during winter months.

As a deciduous variety, the foliage naturally dies back in autumn before fresh growth emerges in spring. Container-grown plants perform exceptionally well and are ideal for patios and terraces where the dramatic flowers can be appreciated at close range. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and apply a winter mulch in colder regions to help protect the crown and encourage vigorous regrowth the following season.
