Description
Hosta Mount Tom
Hosta Mount Tom is a superb large hosta introduced by Bill and Eleanor Lachman, renowned for its striking blue-green foliage and broad creamy-white margins. The thick, heavily textured leaves are held in a semi-upright habit, creating an impressive architectural presence in shaded borders, woodland gardens and larger container displays. As the plant matures, the foliage develops increased substance and corrugation, adding even greater visual appeal.
During summer, Hosta Mount Tom produces attractive lavender flowers on tall stems above the foliage. The combination of bold variegation, large textured leaves and elegant blooms makes this variety a standout specimen plant. Its vigorous growth and reliable garden performance have made it one of the finest hostas to emerge from the Lachman breeding programme.
Plants leaves are cut back from August and will reappear late Spring.
