Description
Hosta Fragrant Blue
Hosta Fragrant Blue is a superb blue-leaved hosta prized for its attractive powdery blue-green foliage and delightfully scented flowers. Forming a neat mound of thick, deeply veined heart-shaped leaves, this outstanding variety retains its blue colouring exceptionally well throughout the growing season, making it one of the finest blue hostas for long-lasting garden interest.
During summer, elegant stems rise above the foliage carrying fragrant mauve-lavender flowers that add both colour and scent to shaded areas of the garden. The substantial leaves offer good resistance to slug damage, while the compact habit makes this variety suitable for borders, woodland gardens and patio containers.
Plants leaves are cut back from August and will reappear late Spring.
