Agapanthus Wembworthy

Description

Agapanthus ‘Wembworthy’

Agapanthus ‘Wembworthy’ is an elegant deciduous African Lily producing beautiful pale china-blue flowers with distinctive reflexed petals and darker blue midribs. The graceful blooms are carried in rounded clusters on sturdy upright stems above attractive strap-shaped green foliage, creating a refined display in sunny borders, gravel gardens and patio containers. This strong-growing variety was bred by renowned Agapanthus breeder Richard J. Fulcher and is valued for its exceptional flower form and reliable garden performance.

Flowering during mid to late summer, the delicate pale blue blooms provide a softer colour palette than many darker Agapanthus varieties while still delivering excellent garden impact. The flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects, making this variety a wonderful addition to wildlife-friendly gardens and mixed perennial borders.

This attractive deciduous variety combines elegant flower colour with a vigorous growth habit. The unusual reflexed tepals give the flower heads a distinctive appearance, while the tall stems add height and structure to summer planting schemes.
