Description
Hosta War Paint large pointed and pie crusted leaves emerge in the spring with a clear bright butter yellow centre surrounded by a dark green margin. The yellow centre holds for a few weeks and then begins to darken. Pale violet flowers. Medium to large mound size at maturity.
Hosta War Paint is a bold, eye-catching variety that puts on a dramatic spring show. Large pointed leaves emerge with a vivid butter-yellow centre ringed by deep green margins — a two-tone effect that evolves through the season as the yellow deepens. Pale violet flowers appear in summer. Supplied in a 2 litre pot.
Hosta leaves will be cut off from August and they will re-emerge in late Spring.
