Griselinia ‘Green Horizon’ PBR one plant. New Zealand Laurel, new evergreen hedging plant with glossy, oval shaped, dark green leaves. This is a much improved form of Griselinia litoralis the leaves are glossy and darker. Mature height 6m x 3m unpruned/Dense upright habit can be pruned to a hedge or as a specimen make your own topiary. Likes to be in full sun to partial shade and moist but well drained humus rich soil. Hardy to -10C ideal for coastal gardens the thick glossy leaves will withstand light salt spray. This is one of the best evergreen plants to use as a hedge.
Plant is sent out in 10 litre container for planting straight into your garden, plants will be trimmed back to encourage more branching and form a nice tight growing plant.
It is advisable to keep pinching out the growing points to encourage more branching for the first year. Planting a hedge space at 75cm apart roughly 2 feet 6 inches,mulch around the plants with composted bark or garden compost to help keep moisture in the soil and help prevent weeds.
