Growing Your Crocosmia Collection
The plants in this Crocosmia Collection thrive in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and perform best in a sunny or partially shaded position. Furthermore, they establish quickly and gradually form impressive clumps that become more floriferous each season. Regular watering during prolonged dry spells will help encourage healthy growth and prolonged flowering.
Once established, Crocosmias require very little maintenance. Simply remove spent flower stems after flowering and allow the foliage to die back naturally in autumn. As a result, the plants can store energy for the following year’s display. In addition, dividing congested clumps every few years will help maintain vigour and flowering performance.
