Description
Agapanthus Fiona
Agapanthus Fiona is a beautiful evergreen African Lily producing large rounded heads of soft lavender-blue flowers above attractive clumps of green strap-like foliage. Flowering freely throughout summer, this elegant variety creates a graceful display in borders, patio containers and mixed perennial plantings. Its compact yet floriferous habit makes it an excellent choice for gardens of all sizes.
Why Choose Agapanthus Fiona?
This charming variety is valued for its abundant lavender-blue blooms and reliable flowering performance. The flower heads are held on sturdy stems above neat mounds of foliage, creating an eye-catching display that attracts bees and other pollinators. Its soft flower colour blends beautifully with a wide range of garden plants and planting styles.
Growing Agapanthus Fiona
For best results, plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Regular watering during establishment will encourage strong root development and healthy growth. Once established, plants become relatively drought tolerant and provide dependable flowering year after year. Good drainage is particularly important during winter months.
Perfect for Borders and Containers
The compact growth habit and attractive flower colour make this variety ideal for sunny borders, courtyard gardens and patio containers. The lavender-blue blooms combine beautifully with salvias, lavender, echinacea and ornamental grasses, creating long-lasting displays of summer colour.
Care and Maintenance
Remove faded flower stems after flowering to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage vigorous growth. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to support healthy foliage and abundant blooms. With minimal maintenance, this hardy perennial will provide years of reliable garden performance.

This has been described elsewhere as striking! I can confirm its certainly a top
Agapanthus to have in ones collection! Certainly a top 10 within the darkest there are! It has a dark blue to Violet outer and inner light with deep violet veins. Its more blue than most dark purples yet has a unique mix in its look! Buds are more navy blue that open to a blend from base deep blue to the edge ,violet! Certainly more deep blue’er than expected and not deep purple as some describe aka like a Alan street or Dark Silk if i recall! Some pics from ZA show it looking more blue ,probably light or incorrect agapanthus pic taken to describe it! It reminds me alot in shade terms of the Midnight Cascade which truly is a unique colour! A must for dark coloured agapanthus collectors!

I mean’t ‘Midnight Dream’ for similar in colouration shade! Midnight Cascade is more like a Black magic Inapertus type.
