Growing Agapanthus Blue Formality
Agapanthus Blue Formality thrives in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun encourages abundant flowering and helps produce strong stems capable of supporting the large flower heads. Once established, plants are relatively drought tolerant, although regular watering during prolonged dry periods will encourage the best floral display.
Container-grown plants perform exceptionally well and benefit from being slightly root restricted, often encouraging even more prolific flowering. As an evergreen variety, the attractive foliage remains a valuable feature throughout much of the year. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and protect container-grown plants during periods of severe winter frost.
