National Hosta and Agapanthus Collection UK  NCCPG

Just been awarded the National Agapanthus Collection UK by National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens as a reference collection of Agapanthus.  I have been collecting Agapanthus since 1986 with over 450 varieties in the collection.  Always try where possible to get my plants direct from the breeder or trusted grower so as I can maintain a true record of the plants and their names.  It is very important to have a reference collection for all genera of plants sadly a lot of plants are being lost and on the threatened plant list help by NCCPG.  I would be grateful if you come across a older variety of Agapanthus or Hosta (as we hold the National Hosta collection as well) to get in touch with us.  All my plants are grown outside all year round in containers at Scroggy Wood, Galdanagh Road, Carnlough in the lovely Glens of Antrim coastal village.

Collections are open by appointment only and we welcome visitors to come and see the plants for Agapanthus the month of June to July depending on weather is best to see the flowers and for Hostas May to June to see the best of the leaf colours.  As a working nursery we will propagate plants to order by manual division this takes time so we keep a list of peoples requests and repond back once we have stock available.
