Astrantia 'Dark Shiny-Eyes' with a silvery centre of flower is surrounded by clear red bracts and the flowers themselves are like papery bracts.  Flowering from June to August and grows to about 50cm in height. Lush green leaves.  Best kept cool.  Plant Astrantias with your Hostas for added slug protection slugs do not like Astrantias so ideal compannion plants for your hostas and a more organic method of controlling slugs.
