Dierama Lancelot
Dierama Lancelot, new Angel's Fishing Rod. Lancelot looks well planted beside your pond or in a bog garden. Has lovely lush green strap-like foliage with long pendulous flower stems with clusters of pink flowers hanging down at the end, just like the bend of a fishing rod. Grows to 1 metre and flowers June to August. These plants need to be repotted as soon as you receive them in a good ericaceous compost 50:50 compost:composted bark. The bark helps to produce better roots and keeps the compost acidic locking up most of the nitrogen you will need to add a slow release fertiliser with the mix like Osmocote. Keep in a cold glasshouse with plenty of ventilation over the winter ready for planting out in the Spring. Keep the compost moist do not let this plant dry out. |
