Erythronium or "Dog's Tooth Violet" this form 'Pagoda' is one of the most beautiful and very vigorous hybrid with large sulphur yellow flowers. Grows up to 25 cm. in height and blooms from early April onwards. Exotic look for that partial shady area of your garden.
Plant the tuber twice its own depth I find it best to use peat at the base of the hole to keep the tuber damp and provide better growth. While the Erythronium is in flower bud feed with a tomato fertiliser at half strength and continue after flowers are over for 4 weeks this will help build up the tubers strength for next year.
Only post this item out from September to March weather permitting.
