Trillium flexipes


Wonderful woodland plants, common name Wake Robin, with unique sets of three leaves. Usually found in wet sites in limestone regions. A pleasant rose fragrance is characteristic of this plant.
Flowers: Large white, firm, ovate petals up to 6 by 3cm, light green sepals, long yellow anthers.
Leaves: Sessile, rhombic, pointed and up to 20cm wide.
Height: 20-60cm
Usually flowers in April to May. Plants supplied are like thick roots that when planted out now will provide good colour in the spring although it might take a season or two to get estabilished but then they soon clump up. Ideal beside your Hosta's and Brunnera's. Likes the same conditions dappled shade and slightly damp soil but well drained.


Trilliums only posted out from October to March depending on weather conditions.
