Soft Tree Fern from South East Austrailia & Tasmania. Ideal for that damp partial shady area of your garden. Avoid planting your tree fern where it would be exposed to strong winds as this causes the fronds to scorch. The fronds
can reach 2.4m in length at maturity. The main trunk is very slow growing puts on 2.5cm a year.
Can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees celsius provided the main the crown of the trunk is protected over the winter. The best method is to place straw in the crown and secure with chicken wire or use frost fleece.
